    Fugro wint 2 contracten met totale waarde van $52 mln


    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Fugro nv (FUR.AE) heeft twee opdrachten verkregen op het gebied van zeebodemonderzoek en bouwondersteuning op zee, voor een totale waarde van $52 miljoen.

    Dochteronderneming Fugro Seacore Ltd heeft de opdrachten verkregen, aldus Fugro vrijdag.

    Het eerste contract, met een waarde van $32 miljoen, betreft de levering van een kernboorsysteem aan Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation. Het boorsysteem zal worden ingezet voor onderzoek naar grondstoffen in de zeebodem, zoals sulfaten en gashydraten.

    Het tweede contract betreft specialistisch boorwerk en ondersteuning op zee voor de John Holland Groep, voor de constructie van een kade en een havenhoofd, aldus Fugro. Met deze opdracht haalt het bedrijf $20 miljoen binnen.

    Fugro neemt Fugro Jacques GeoSurveys Inc volledig over


    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Fugro nv (FUR.AE) meldt dinsdag met de overname van een minderheidsbelang van 30% in het in Canada gevestigde Fugro Jacques GeoSurveys van Stantec Consulting ltd. het volledige bedrijf in handen te hebben verkregen.

    Het bedrijf, dat verder zal gaan onder de naam Fugro GeoSurveys Inc. heeft een jaarlijkse omzet van $15 miljoen.

    Het bedrijf heeft tachtig werknemers in dienst.

    Middle East-based Algosaibi Group have sold the 2002-built DP2 multirole offshore support vessel Adams Surveyor to Fugro for a price reported to be in the region of
    US$23 million.

    The vessel has been renamed Fugro Adventurer and is currently employed in the Persian Gulf.

    Fugro koersdoel omhoog naar EUR54 - KBC


    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Fugro (FUR.AE) krijgt een koersdoelverhoging van KBC Securities naar EUR54 van EUR50, op basis van de indicatie dat offshore Exploratie en Productie-bestedingen met 6-7% zullen stijgen in 2011, na een groei van 11,5% in 2010. De winst per aandeel-taxaties zijn ook opwaarts bijgesteld, voor 2011 met 5% en voor 2012 met 7%. Het advies blijft accumulate. Omstreeks 09.35 uur noteert het aandeel 0,4% hoger op EUR51,20, terwijl de AEX met 0,6% stijgt. (MAN)

    Fugro-onderdeel krijgt opdracht in VS

    LEIDSCHENDAM (AFN) - Bodemonderzoeker Fugro heeft via zijn onderdeel Fugro Lads een opdracht gekregen in de Verenigde Staten. Dat maakte het bedrijf vrijdag nabeurs bekend.

    Fugro Lads gaat voor de National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration onderzoek uitvoeren voor de vervaardiging van nautische kaarten en daaraan gerelateerde producten in heel de VS.

    Het contract is verleend voor een periode van drie jaar en heeft een waarde van maximaal 30 miljoen dollar, zo meldde Fugro.

    Fugro krijgt opdracht in VS van maximaal $30 mln


    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Fugro LADS, een dochteronderneming van Fugro nv (FUR.AE), heeft een opdracht gekregen in de Verenigde Staten met een waarde die kan oplopen tot maximaal $30 miljoen, zo meldt het bedrijf vrijdag nabeurs.

    Fugro LADS heeft de opdracht gekregen van het National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. De contract heeft een duur van 3 jaar en de werkzaamheden beginnen november dit jaar.

    Fugro zal gegevens verzamelen over de Amerikaanse kustgebieden die worden verwerkt in nautische kaarten.

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--De CEO van Fugro (FUR.AE) is zeer uitgesproken over de positie van het seismische onderdeel, concludeert analist Wim Gille van Royal Bank of Scotland naar aanleiding van een interview van de bestuursvoorzitter met Dow Jones Nieuwsdienst. Dit in tegenstelling tot wat sommige analisten en beleggers graag zouden zien. Gille zegt dat de seismische activiteiten prima passen in de strategie van Fugro en goede inzichten biedt voor de trend op de lange termijn in de industrie. Gille stelt ook dat ondanks de vertragingen vanwege de nasleep van de olieramp in de golf van Mexico, de CEO groeiende vraag zie in de eindmarkten, gedreven door West-Afrika, Brazilie en infrastructuur gerelateerde projecten in het Verre Oosten. De analist hanteert een buy-advies met een koersdoel van euro 57. Omstreeks 12.15 uur noteert het aandeel 0,5% lager op euro 50,50, terwijl de AEX met 0,3% daalt.(LDF)

    Fugro-Geoteam is proud to announce the successful completion of a large 3D survey, offshore Alaska in the Chukchi Sea. The project was conducted for Statoil E&P USA Inc., by the ''M/V Geo Celtic'', during the relatively brief ice-free season, and resulted in the recording of over 2600 square kilometers in 40 days.

    This high level of production combined with minimal loss of time, zero infill and no environmental incidents, was the result of extensive planning, preparation, and close-cooperation between all parties. Fugro’s personnel and facilities located in Anchorage were also utilised throughout the duration of the project, providing local support, expertise and resources.

    LEIDSCHENDAM (AFN) - Fugro-dochter Fugro Brasil heeft, in samenwerking met scheepseigenaren Greatship en Farstad, drie langlopende opdrachten gekregen van oliemaatschappij Petrobras in Brazilië. Dat maakte de bodemonderzoeker maandag bekend.

    De contracten hebben voor Fugro een waarde van 140 miljoen dollar en een looptijd van vijf jaar. Ook is er een optie om de opdrachten met vijf jaar te verlengen. Greatship zal de schepen 'Greatship Rohini' en 'Greatship Ramya' leveren en Farship het schip de 'Far Scotia'.

    Fugro Roadware has been awarded a contract with the State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, with a potential value of USD 20 million over six years. The initial task order is for a network level pavement condition evaluation and Videolog across 57,600 km of Louisiana roads, to be completed by June 30, 2012. This task has a value of USD 6.2 million.

    As part of the overall contract, Fugro Roadware will be providing a full range of highway asset management surveys which will include a High Definition street level view of the highway system and will enable an accurate highway asset inventory to be recorded. Fugro Roadware’s ARAN technology will be used to collect the data on the condition of the pavement.

    The contract will provide the State of Louisiana accurate and reliable information which enables them to strategically focus investment in road maintenance and safety at the most efficient time.

    Fugro Multi Client Services has started the NL-DEF-3d multi-client survey in the Netherlands. This major multi-client 3D survey, is designed to provide modern 3D long offset seismic data to boost exploration in the Dutch D, E and F blocks of the North Sea. The survey is covering over 6,000 sq.km extending from the UK until the German offshore border.

    The survey is located in an under-explored part of the Dutch Offshore where 3D long cable seismic is lacking. The survey will provide new geological information and hydrocarbon concepts that might reduce exploration risks in the area. EBN is the first company that purchased a licence for the entire survey. This is part of their mission to establish 30 bcm of annual gas production from small fields in the Netherlands in 2030. EBN participates in many exploration and production licences in the Dutch Offshore and Onshore and is wholly-owned by the Dutch State.

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--ING verhoogt het koersdoel voor Fugro naar euro 60,00 van euro 51,00 en handhaaft het advies op buy. ING meent dat de vooruitzichten voor Fugro in de afgelopen maanden zijn verbeterd. Analist Quirijn Mulder verhoogt zijn verwachtingen voor 2011 en 2012. De buy-rating wordt gehanteerd vanwege de goede vooruitzichten voor de dienstverleners in de oliesector, de sterke positie van Fugro in de markt en de aantrekkelijke waardering van het aandeel in vergelijking met andere Europese dienstverleners in de oliesector. Fugro geeft op 18 november een trading update en ING verwacht geen verandering in de vooruitzichten voor het boekjaar 2010. Maandag sloot het aandeel Fugro op euro 52,45. (MKO)

    completes airborne surveys for Eni in Gabon

    HOUSTON – Fugro Airborne Surveys says it has completed six geophysical data acquisition flights offshore and onshore Gabon for Eni. A total surface area of 8,000 sq km (3,089 sq mi) was covered. The offshore permits were D3 and D4.

    Data processing is partially complete and interpretation is now underway at Eni in Milan, Italy.

    Hoewel financiële impact waarschijnlijk niet al te groot is, denk ik de toepassing van geofysisch odnerzoek vanuit de lucht tbv olie- en gasexploratie een goede zaak voor Fugro is. Met de in 2000 gevormde business line heeft F een belangrijke positie in deze maarkt, die van oudsher vooral op mijnbouw gericht is.

    Fugro Geoteam Wraps Up Seismic Survey Offshore Tanzania

    Tanzania, East AfricaDominion announced that the 3D seismic survey that was recently conducted on Block 7, deep-water Tanzania, has now been completed. The data was acquired by Fugro Geoteam AS, using the seismic vessel the GeoBarents. The survey was conducted over a total area of 1,236 sq km covering the Alpha, Beta and 3 other prospects. A recent competent persons report (CPR) prepared by Energy Resource Consultants Ltd on the Alpha prospect confirmed a mean prospective resource of 1.1Bbbl as the oil case and 7Tcf as the gas case.

    The data will now be processed by CGG Veritas. This should be complete by Q2 2011 and a "Fast Track" processed volume will be ready later this week. The long offset, 7km streamer, data will support amplitude variations with offset ("AVO") studies, these studies on the existing 2D data have helped de-risk Alpha and Beta already. The final results of the 3D and subsequent analyses will help the Company re-assess volumes and improve chances of success not only for the Alpha prospect but for all prospects mapped within, and immediately adjacent to, the survey area.

    Dominion also notes that last month the first deep-water discovery in Tanzania, the Pweza-1 well, was drilled south of Block 7 and has proven a working hydrocarbon system in the deep-water of Tanzania. This first discovery confirms Dominion's belief that offshore Tanzania is highly prospective and provides further confidence in its exploration efforts on Block 7.

    Andrew Cochran, CEO of Dominion, commented, "The recent discovery in Tanzania is very significant and justifies the increased levels of interest shown by major industry players in deepwater East Africa. We are extremely excited by what we already know about Block 7 and early results from the 3D support the drilling of Block 7, perhaps next year depending on rig availability."

    Uganda Exploration Area 4B (Dominion Uganda Ltd 100%, Operator)
    Democratic Republic of Congo, Block 5 (Dominion DRC 46.75%)
    Dominion announced the first ever cross-border 2D seismic between DRC and Uganda for early in 2011. Dominion, and its partners, plan to acquire in excess of 300km of new seismic in the Lake Edward Basin. A contract will be awarded to the preferred contractor before year's end and the survey could start as early as January, lasting 3-4 months.

    Dominion obtained valuable geological data from the Ngaji-1 well in Block 4B well and confirmed the presence of excellent quality reservoir sands as well as hints of source potential. These data justify continued exploration in the basin as a whole in both of the countries it straddles (Uganda and the DRC).

    Andrew Cochran, CEO of Dominion, commented, "Obtaining the first ever cross-border seismic on the Lake Edward basin demonstrates Dominion's unique and strategic position in the play. While Ngaji-1 disappointed on some levels the subsequent analysis easily justify continued exploration of the basin, now armed with a better understanding of the basin as a whole. We could return to drilling as early as next year depending on the outcome of the new seismic."

    Tanzania Onshore Mandawa PSA Kianika-1 well (Dominion Oil and Gas Ltd, 10%)
    The Kianika-1 well on the Mandawa PSA continues to drill ahead and is expected to reach its planned depth of 2900m before the end of November. The well is operated by Dominion's partner Les Establissment Maurel et Prom (M&P). Further details will be forthcoming as the well progresses.
